Family Pharmacy aims to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to our customers and patients. We strive to provide first-rate medications, medical equipment, supplies, and services.
We respect the rights and culture of all our customers and patients and are dedicated to providing responsive and timely customer service. We also make sure that members of our organization receive ongoing education to maintain the highest standards of skills needed to provide unrivaled services to our customers.
HISTORY
On June 24, 2014, Family Pharmacy started its operations in a 1,200 sq. ft space located in Eastport, Maine. Within a year, we moved to 34 Middle Street, Eastport, Maine which was a space of more than 3,000 sq. ft.
Our owner and founder, Benjamin C. Okafor, PharmD, obtained his first pharmacy degree from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Jos, Nigeria. Then, he obtained his diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Brighton, United Kingdom. He also worked as a senior clinical pharmacist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London until 2006.
He studied further and obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Bernard J, Dunn School of Pharmacy at the Shenandoah University in Virginia in 2012. He then worked as a manager of a pharmacy chain in Bangor, Maine until 2013. In 2014, Ben became an entrepreneur and started Family Pharmacy with, not one, but two branches in Maine; Eastport and Machias.
Who We Are
Family Pharmacy serves the residents of Eastport, Maine and its surrounding towns, namely, Perry, Pembroke, Robbinston, Dennysville, Whiting, and Lubec. We offer a variety of products and services to serve the needs of our clients that range from over-the-counter medications to free home delivery for prescription medications.
Our machias branch is located at 194 Main Street, Machias, Maine Machias Family Pharmacy will serve the residents of Machias and its surrounding towns, namely, East Machias, Machiasport, Whiting, Lubec, Jonesboro, Jonesport, and Columbia. Our pharmacy strives to provide the high-quality products and services that we had been providing since we opened, and we will strive to continue providing the same products and services in the years to come.
